How to Make Your Caterpillar Dance

My daughter is very excited. She has just started Reception and her class is Caterpillar class. How great is this? We decided to make our own little caterpillar and make it dance! Would you like to make one too?

You need : pasta (we used spaghetti, buckwheat and penne)

string

yoghurt lids

paper

sticky tape

glue

It's very simple. Draw and cut out circle for a caterpillar's head. Ask your child if they want to draw face. We attach some spaghetti and penne (making little antennae) to the head with sticky tape. Then we thread the string through the pasta and lids until the thread is full. We make a little knot at the end. Your caterpillar is ready! We can make it dance by making little stop motion video on my iPhone (using Stop Motion app is very easy) . Then we transfer video in iMovie , choose music and our caterpillar is finally moving :-) Are you ready for your caterpillar disco?
